The City of Millbrae has affirmed its commitment to building a culture of equity and inclusion where every resident, business, student, employee, and visitor can participate, prosper and reach their full potential.
To bring this vision to life, the City has partnered with E/J Solutions to develop a community-driven social equity and cultural inclusion strategic plan for Millbrae. Over the next year and a half, E/J Solutions will be conducting robust community engagement to build a collective vision and actionable plan for a more just, equitable, sustainable, and inclusive Millbrae.

After receiving robust community response to the application for the Community Committee on Social Equity & Cultural Inclusion, E/J Solutions is now in the process of selecting a slate of applicants who reflect Millbrae’s diversity and represent each of the five city districts.

Social Equity Framework Approved Unanimously by Millbrae City Council
On September 26th, E/J Solutions presented the Social Equity Framework we developed for Millbrae to City Council. City Council unanimously voted to adopt the Social Equity Framework for Millbrae. E/J Solutions is thrilled to advance a dynamic and intersectional approach to advancing social equity in Millbrae.
The plan is thoughtful, strategic and holistic. But not only that it has a heart and soul to it. I am very excited about having this lens and standards to bring to our policy and decision-making. — Councilmember Angelina Cahalan

Project Launch
We kicked off the social equity planning process on September 24th with a table at Millbrae’s Mid-Autumn Festival. We were there to chat with Millbrae residents about what social equity means to them and spread the word about the new social equity planning process.
