Having E/J Solutions as a partner org on our project ensured its success during a very tender and critical phase. Plain and simple! The individual staff we worked with gracefully assumed responsibility for a substantive part of the community engagement and learning, bringing with them their substantive expertise and experience in working across the Bay Area in frontline communities. They led focus groups, analysis of a fascinating but quite messy set of qualitative data, and a participatory ratification process for the ‘end’ product, a ‘People’s Vision for Bay Area Food Sovereignty.’ What’s more, they stretched themselves in collaborating with the rest of our Organizing Team, learning from other partners as well as enabling those partners to learn from them about internal process and project design.
